Follow Up: Reducing My Energy Bill

6 May 2010 74 views No Comment

This post is a follow up to my post about how I was able to greatly reduce my electricity bill. I was just surfing around the web looking for ideas of posts I could write on GettingTheWin.com, and came across a post by Bargain Babe illustrating the differences in energy bill costs from across the country. It’s a great post and I suggest everyone reads it.

Some of the highest cost cities for electricity are Baltimore ($132) and Houston ($120) and a couple of the lowest were San Diego ($30) and surprisingly Los Angeles ($36). This blew my mind. How was the average electricity bill in Los Angeles just $36 when I was paying much much more than that (read my previous post to find out how much I was paying).

Since I just moved apartments, I will do another follow up post detailing how much I am paying at my new place. Maybe there was something about my old apartment that made me pay that much.
